I’ve often wondered why this wasn’t done by default – seems easy enough for Microsoft to do. Maybe because the product is sold worldwide – but who knows?

Enabling the option to mark your calendar for public holidays is easy…

> From the Tools menu in Outlook, click Options, then click Calendar Options.
> Click the Add Holidays button under Calendar options

> Select the check box next to your location, and any other location you might be interested in, and then click OK.

Now if you sync your phone to your Outlook, these events will be in and remind you ahead of time that there is an upcoming holiday. Pretty useful… Hope this is helpful to some of you :)

Cheers!
